Public Notice to Parents & Guardians: Expectations for Supervising Children at School Events

Posted Date: 9/05/24 (3:05 PM)

Dear Parents & Guardians,

As we look forward to a successful and enjoyable school year, we want to remind you of the expectations for supervising children during school events. Your cooperation is essential in ensuring that our events are safe, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone in attendance.

Supervision Expectations:

  1. Safety First: For the safety of all, children should not run, play, or engage in activities that could cause harm to themselves or others. School grounds and facilities should be respected at all times.

  2. Active Supervision: Parents and guardians are expected to actively supervise their children at all school events. Children should remain under the watchful eye of their responsible adults at all times.

  3. Respect for Others: Please ensure that your children are respectful of others, including other attendees, event staff, and performers. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in being asked to leave the event.

  4. Staying in Designated Areas: Children should remain in the designated event areas while the activity is taking place. This helps to maintain a safe environment for everyone.

    1. Designated areas at the football field:

      1. PreK-4th grade students shall sit with their parent/guardians or designated adult.

      2. 5th-8th grade students shall sit with their parents or in the southeast endzone.

      3. 9th-12th grade students shall sit at the north end of home bleachers.

    2. Designated areas indoors:

      1. PreK-4th grade students shall sit with their parent/guardians or designated adult.

      2. 5th-8th grade students shall sit with their parent/guardian or designated adult.

      3. 9th-12th grade students shall sit at the southeast end of the bleachers.

  5. Prompt Departure: After the event concludes, please promptly gather your children and depart the premises. This will allow our staff to begin the necessary post-event procedures without delay.

District administration is available at all school events to assist with event and guest management. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following these guidelines. By working together, we can ensure that all school events are safe, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our school community.

Sincerely,

Deron Stender
